
During the 2015-2016 season, more than 85 people came to Cascade Medical Center with injuries from sledding, including 5 cases that required transfers to next-level trauma care. The top injuries we saw were fractures -- including wrist, ankle and spine -- and lacerations from broken sleds and other obstacles. Ice, too, poses a significant threat to people who are vulnerable to falls. Please take a moment to read up on winter safety and prevent a potentially life-changing injury.
