Occupational Therapist

Sarah Peery is an occupational therapist who believes in collaboration and innovation to help patient reach their goals and improve their quality of life.

Sarah collaborates with patients, their families and in some cases, the patients’ medical team, to develop a comprehensive therapy plan. She also helps families better understand the condition their loved one is facing, and she suggests strategies on how to better support them.  Sarah works with both outpatients and inpatients since joining the Rehab Services team in 2018.

Prior to Cascade Medical, she worked for North Central Educational Service District and Olympic Educational Service District working with students ages 3-16 with a variety of diagnosis, including autism, anxiety disorders and sensory processing. She evaluated students, and then collaborated with parents, teachers and specialist to develop functional interventions and support students’ progress.

Sarah is nationally recognized for her work developing adaptive equipment. In 2009, she earned the National Maddak Award for innovative rock climbing equipment she designed specifically for people who participate in the Outdoors for All Foundation’s climbing program.

Sarah earned a Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from Colorado State University in 2000.
