LEAVENWORTH – Test results are negative for the patient who tested for COVID-19 at Cascade Medical. The state lab reported the results to Cascade Medical Friday afternoon.

“We are relieved to learn of the test result, and we want to thank our staff for their preparedness, flexibility and compassion this week,” said Diane Blake, Chief Executive Officer.

The patient has been discharged. All staff members involved in the patient’s care have reported back to work.

As a safety precaution, Cascade Medical will continue to screen all patients upon arrival according to CDC guidelines. We will also maintain visitor restrictions to our Acute Care area in order to protect our inpatients from outside germs.

We ask the community to take extra care to wash hands and surfaces often, cover coughs and sneezes, and stay home when ill. Anyone with concerns that they may have symptoms associated with COVID-19 – fever, cough, and shortness of breath – please call the state hotline at 1-800-525-0127. If anyone needs medical treatment for those symptoms, we will arrange to care for them in a way that reduces the likelihood of transmission.

We want to recognize our partner agencies for their efforts and support, including Chelan County Fire District 3, Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue, Wenatchee Valley College and Chelan-Douglas Health District.
