Thomas Baranouskas

After a successful career in Finance in the Defense and Research industry spanning 30 years, Tom and his family fell in love with the Upper Valley in the 1990’s, and they ultimately made the decision to make their favorite vacation spot their forever home in 2011. Tom started his service to the board in 2015, when he was appointed to serve the remainder of a term for a retiring elected commissioner, and won re-election in 2021. Tom’s commitment to serve includes involvement throughout his career in the Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue Auxiliary, Boy Scouts, as well as Board work with St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, MI, and offered financial expertise to the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in Lima, Ohio.

Tom said “Supporting and representing the community where we live is very important to me. We live in the Lake Wenatchee and Plain area and know that the partnership of Cascade Medical and Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue is critical to our part of Leavenworth. This is especially true of the emergency response capability. Health care is undergoing much change. I believe my business and financial background, as well as my 6+ years commissioner experience, can contribute to meeting the needs of that change, to the benefit of Leavenworth, and to a successful long-term future for Cascade Medical.”
