Our promise to you. We will:

  • Provide an inclusive clinical environment where you feel safe talking about your gender
  • Maintain a gender-affirming approach, including using chosen names and pronouns when interacting with you
  • Be able to discuss gender, the range of gender-affirming health care options available, and best avenues for those options
  • Provide connection to supports assisting with plans for navigating transition in relationships, work, or school settings and offer support & resources
  • Work with families and loved ones to nurture and sustain supportive relationships, especially when working with youth

Wellness services we provide:

  • Annual exams and cancer screenings of natal organs (pelvic, breast/chest, prostate, pap smears)
  • Behavioral health services, including counseling
  • Support navigating insurance coverage regarding gender-affirming care
  • STD testing and treatment
  • HIV testing; PrEP and PEP access
  • Family planning
  • Safer sex education
  • Disease prevention and management
  • Screening and referrals for obesity, diabetes and dyslipidemia
  • Nutrition

All our providers at Cascade Medical are gender-affirming and supportive and believe in equitable health care for every person in our community, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, immigration status, sexual orientation, or ability to pay. The providers listed above have further training in medical and behavioral care related to transgender care. Some of this training includes experience in:

  • Hormone Therapy
  • Referrals and letters for gender-specific services provided outside of CM (examples: top and bottom surgery referrals, puberty blocker referrals)
  • Options regarding prosthetic devices
  • Mental healthcare and emotional support around transitions
